Review of One of the best video converters – movavi.com

Here I am writing a review for one of the best video converter software I have ever tried.

Look & Feel

The software has got very nice look and feel. the way they’ve worked on the buttons and other graphics are simply incredible. One look at the software and we are a fan of it. The Video Preview window, the button to start the conversion, the option for selecting the presets and the button for customizing the presets, etc everything is arranged very neatly and in a proper way. Overall its very easy on the eyes too.

Feature Sets

First of all I will have to write about the extensive file type support they are having. I would say they support almost all possible file types one person would ever use. AVI, MPEG-1,2, MP4, WMV, ASF, 3GP (3GPP), 3G2 (3GPP2), MOV (QT), MKV, FLV, DVD (VOB, IFO), MOD, DAT, M2T (MTS), VRO, HTML5 (WebM, OGV), MP3, WAV, WMA, OGG, AAC, FLAC, Monkey’s Audio, etc to name a few.

It has lots of other feature sets such as capturing any frame, converting an entire dvd or a group of files, converting through command line, sharing online, uploading to psp, adding water mark to the videos etc. Along with these options this video converter do have all those options which are common to almost all the other converters. For example, cropping, increasing brightness etc.

There are lots of predefined presets for converting the videos. These number of presets are large enough to include almost all standard video resolutions, and almost all standard devices such as ipad, ipod touch, iphone, microsoft zune, all android devices, samsung, PSP, Nokia, BlackBerry, etc.

This application has one added advantage of making use of the graphics adapter of our system to speed up the whole conversion process. As of now this feature support only for nvidia powered systems. I hope they will add their support also to the other manufactures’ graphics adapters soon. For now I say I am quite more than just satisfied for these options.

There is also an option to add the converted videos or audios directly to the itunes library using this application.

Overall Verdict

The application developers have done a very good job in my opinion. They have created a masterpiece with almost all the options one could include in a video converter. For now they are providng this tool for free as a 30 day trial version. I hope you download this video converter and check it out.

How to instert Rupee Sign(₹) into any Document

If you wonder how you can insert the Rupee (₹) symbol into your document, then this post is for you.

First of all the font should be installed in your system.

Windows All

If you use windows Vista or Later, You can install the official upgrade by Microsoft by visiting this link:
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=2496898

Note: But as for windows XP users, the font is not official and hence you guys better not use the font from third party. Because if you use that font and you gave this document to any other person, who used vista or later or even xp who hasn’t installed your font, will not be able to see that symbol.

After installing the font you can use the key combination as give

<Press-and-hold Alt> 2 0 b 9 <Release Alt>

Linux

Ubuntu/Kubuntu 10.10 and later versions comes with the font out of the box. So you need not worry about this.
In ubuntu you can use the following key comination for the Symbol.

<Press and Hold Ctrl-Shift-u> 2 0 b 9 <Release all keys, enter>

Now you can see the font there! You can try these following methods too.

 • Kubuntu 10.10: Copy-and-paste ‘₹’
 • HTML: insert “₹”

Now If none of these techniques works for you, then do this.

1. Download the font from Here => Font for Rupee Symbol (₹)

2. Install the font.

3. Copy the file to C:WindowsFonts directory.(for Windows XP users) / 2. Right-click the file and choose “Install”. (for Windows 7/Vista users)

4. Press the Tild Sign in your keyboard.

Google introduces virtual keyboard

This came to me as a surprise. Now google introduces virtual keyboard. Well this can be quite useful. But do we actually need this? I dont know may be. Anyway see this below screenshot!

I think google has not made it available for all the countries. Now lets here what you think about this!

Image sharing cannot be made easier than this – MIN.US

Have you ever thought about dragging and droping the picture file you want to share to the browser? The makers of Min.us website just did that, perfectly.

To share a picture you just have to open the website then drag and drop the file you want to share to the (anywhere on the)website. You will be presented with the sharing link, editing link for the uploaded pic. Now that’s cool ain’t it?

Well you want to make a gallery or you need to upload all your pics, then you can register in the website and login before uploading any pic.

Nothing more to say. Just go to min.us and experience the ease of use.

Facebook says, You don’t make US angry, we will beat you to death

Everyone who uses FACEBOOK, will know lamebook. Well if you don’t know, just goto lamebook.com. But being so famous (well, because of facebook), now facebook, don’t like them. Facebook disabled all postings, shares, like’ings etc etc that relate to lamebook.com.

To know more about this issue, Read the following story , a story which techcrunch.com reported today!

Just make sure not to do something that might make Facebook angry. Otherwise it might nuke every link to your site, choking off this river of traffic that you’ve worked so hard to build.

That’s the message Facebook sent today with its censorship of links to Lamebook, a humor site that posts lewd conversations spotted on the social network. Facebook has confirmed that it is automatically blocking all links to Lamebook and that it has also removed the company’s ‘Fan’ page. Not because the content was offensive, mind you, but because Facebook doesn’t like Lamebook.

The move was precipitated by a legal battle between the two companies. Lamebook filed for a declaratory judgement earlier this month that would assert that it is not violating Facebook’s trademark (the two parties have apparently been in negotiations over this for some time). Unsurprisingly, Facebook followed that up with a suit alleging that Lamebook violated its trademark.

Okay, so Facebook doesn’t like Lamebook’s name. I don’t agree with Facebook’s stance, but fair enough — it isn’t the first big company that’s overzealous when it comes to protecting its trademark. But by blocking Lamebook’s content, Facebook is crossing a line.

Not only is it currently impossible to share a Lamebook link to your News Feed or a friend’s Facebook Wall — you can’t even include them as part of a direct message or email to friends (you get an error message indicating that it’s “abusive or spammy”, which isn’t even accurate). That’s completely outrageous, and it’s a warning flag that comes only a few days after Facebook announced a new hybrid email/IM/SMS product. Do you really want someone to be censoring your outbound email?
