Almost all of you might be aware of the Google Chrome Task manager. You can use the Task Manager to get details about a specific process running in Google Chrome, or to force a misbehaving tab or application to close. Follow these steps to open the Task Manager:

  1. Click the page menu .
  2. Select Developer.
  3. Select Task manager.

You can also use the Windows keyboard shortcut Shift+Esc to open the Task Manager.

Now google developers recently added another option to this task manager which can free up the memory.

For this right click the short cut for google chrome in your PC, then select properties. Now all you have to do is adding a command line string. For this, in the target box replace the text

C:Users[username]AppDataLocalChromiumApplicationchrome.exe

with

C:Users[username]AppDataLocalChromiumApplicationchrome.exe –purge-memory-button

Now when you take the taks manager, this button will be there. :D
