A class action complaint filed in San Jose federal court alleges that Google Inc. broke the law when its controversial Google Buzz service shared personal data without the consent of users.
The case was filed on Wednesday on behalf of Eva Hibnick, a Florida woman, by law firms in San Francisco and Washington, D.C. William Audet of Audet & Partners LLP in San Francisco declined to comment.
The legal complaint accuses Google of breaking various electronic communications laws, including the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act. The plaintiff is seeking injunctions to prevent the company from taking similar actions in the future, and unspecified monetary relief.
Eva Hibnick and her legal team–who we won’t name, because clearly they agreed to help her for the glory of suing Google–wants to enjoin the 31.2 million U.S. Gmail users that were duped into revealing their most personal contacts.

Already hate Google Buzz. Now you can simply disable it from the Google Buzz tab which can be accessed from you Gmail Account. In the Gmail settings page the last tab is the Buzz settings page. And the last option in that page is for disabling the Buzz, which is given as a Red Bold link.

Now that google’s Buzz is really making a Buzz in the internet world, everyone with a blog or website might be trying to figure out how to integrate it with their website. Now here I am going to explain how to integrate it to your wordpress blog.
The easiest way for doing it is Use Plugins. I will list a few plugin which will do the integration for you.
Google Buzz Button
This Google Buzz Button plugin that allows you to add a “Buzz This” button to each of your WordPress posts. this may also look familiar because lots of famous techie websites use this.
How to:
- Download Google Buzz Button WordPress Plugin
- Upload in wp-content/plugins folder on your server
- Activate the plugin from Plugin Dashboard
- Done! A new Google Buzz Button will start appearing after the post content on each single page. You can customize the location of Buzz Button.
WP Google-buzz
Another button plugin option is WP Google-buzz. This plugin has some more options compared to the previous one.
Features:
- Show Google-buzz button before/after post content.
- Manual insertion of code: Use this: <?php if(function_exists(‘add_wp_google_buzz’)) { add_wp_google_buzz(); } ?>
- 10 different beautiful image options
WPBuzzer
This plugin also has got lots of options by which we can customize the look and feel. Download WPBuzzer v0.5 from here.
Light Social
The Light Social plugin takes a slightly different approach to the Google Buzz button. Light Social is a plugin that inserts a set of social share links at the bottom of each of your WordPress posts.
Buzz In Your Sidebar
Google Buzz ER Plugin allows you to use the google Buzz features to display your public Buzz content. Just enter in your username and define how many Buzz entries you want to display and drag the widget to your designated choice in your blog.
First, they’ve replaced the auto-follow feature with auto-suggestions, letting you choose who you follow individually rather than automatically following everyone Google thinks you’d want to.
Second, Buzz will stop automatically connecting to public Picasa Web Albums and Reader shared items. You can still connect these things, but you’ve got more choice.
Finally, they’ve added a Buzz tab to your Gmail settings to give you finer control over how Buzz integrates with Gmail. From there, you can easily change whether or not other users can see who you’re following via your Google Profile, turn off Buzz in Gmail, or turn off Buzz completely—something I suspect a lot of people will want to do. (The Buzz tab isn’t available yet, and they do say “we’re adding“, but hopefully it’ll be there soon.)
