The guardian.co.uk Reported that intel is being sued accused of bribery and coercion.

The report says,

The world’s largest microchip maker, Intel, was sued by New York‘s attorney general for allegedly using bullying, bribery and coercion to protect its dominant market position in a lawsuit that followed a record fine for anti-competitive behaviour levied on the company by the European Commission.

These actions are followed by the complains by Intel’s leading rival, Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), over unfair tactics in sales of microprocessors.

But now comes the bigger one. 100 Cored Processor.A semiconductor company promises to pack 100 cores into a processor that can be used in applications that require computing punch as video conferencing, wireless base stations and networking. Intel’s latest chips which are yet to be hit on market are expected to have just eight cores. So this is a BIG news.
Tilera is the company that promises the 100-core chip.

“The 100-core processor, fabricated using 40-nanometer technology, is expected to be available early next year.“
