Review of One of the best video converters – movavi.com

Here I am writing a review for one of the best video converter software I have ever tried.

Look & Feel

The software has got very nice look and feel. the way they’ve worked on the buttons and other graphics are simply incredible. One look at the software and we are a fan of it. The Video Preview window, the button to start the conversion, the option for selecting the presets and the button for customizing the presets, etc everything is arranged very neatly and in a proper way. Overall its very easy on the eyes too.

Feature Sets

First of all I will have to write about the extensive file type support they are having. I would say they support almost all possible file types one person would ever use. AVI, MPEG-1,2, MP4, WMV, ASF, 3GP (3GPP), 3G2 (3GPP2), MOV (QT), MKV, FLV, DVD (VOB, IFO), MOD, DAT, M2T (MTS), VRO, HTML5 (WebM, OGV), MP3, WAV, WMA, OGG, AAC, FLAC, Monkey’s Audio, etc to name a few.

It has lots of other feature sets such as capturing any frame, converting an entire dvd or a group of files, converting through command line, sharing online, uploading to psp, adding water mark to the videos etc. Along with these options this video converter do have all those options which are common to almost all the other converters. For example, cropping, increasing brightness etc.

There are lots of predefined presets for converting the videos. These number of presets are large enough to include almost all standard video resolutions, and almost all standard devices such as ipad, ipod touch, iphone, microsoft zune, all android devices, samsung, PSP, Nokia, BlackBerry, etc.

This application has one added advantage of making use of the graphics adapter of our system to speed up the whole conversion process. As of now this feature support only for nvidia powered systems. I hope they will add their support also to the other manufactures’ graphics adapters soon. For now I say I am quite more than just satisfied for these options.

There is also an option to add the converted videos or audios directly to the itunes library using this application.

Overall Verdict

The application developers have done a very good job in my opinion. They have created a masterpiece with almost all the options one could include in a video converter. For now they are providng this tool for free as a 30 day trial version. I hope you download this video converter and check it out.

Apple I Computer from 1976 sold for £133,250 (about $210,000) at an auction

Today Mashable reported that One of the 200 original Apple-1 computers hand-built by Steve Wozniak and sold from Steve Jobs’s garage in 1976 has sold for £133,250 (about $210,000) at auction at Christie’s in London.

Some people are just crazy. this report proves that. Its processor works 1,000 times slower than the Apple iPad, but this Apple computer has sold for 425 times the price.

The Apple I, one of only 200 such models ever made, was sold Tuesday afternoon at Christie’s auction house in central London for 133,250 pounds (about $210,000.) It came with its original packaging and a signed sales letter from Steve Jobs, one of Apple Computer’s co-founders and the current CEO of Apple Inc.

When the Apple I was introduced in 1976, it was the only personal computer to come with a fully assembled motherboard, making it ready to use straight from the box — provided the user supplied a keyboard, power supply, and display, Christie’s said.

It sold for $666.66 and was available until it was discontinued in 1977.

Bidding on the Apple I came quickly, with the computer eventually going to Italian businessman and private collector Marco Boglione, who made his offer over the phone.

Marco’s brother Francesco Boglione, who attended the auction in person, told The Associated Press that Marco’s purchase was a testament to his love of computers.

“The first time I had heard of the idea of a personal computer, it was from Marco,” Boglione said. He bought it “because he loves computers.”

Present at the technology auction, which aslo included manuscripts, prints, and science-themed texts, was Apple Computer co-founder Steve Wozniak, who agreed to add an autographed letter to the lot.

He said the auction was a historic moment for his work, especially when sold alongside such other technological greats as an Enigma, the German code-making machine, and writings of British mathematician Alan Turing, considered one of the founders of modern computing.

“Today my heart went out as I got to see things auctioned off like the Turing documents and the Enigma machine — and the Apple I,” Wozniak told journalists after the auction. “It really was an important step, (even though) I didn’t feel that way when I designed it.”

“I’m very delighted for the gentleman who purchased it,” he added.

Boglione said his brother’s newly purchased Apple I would likely be returned to working condition — and eventually join a collection of Apple computers.

Yahoo news reported about the Auction.

Multi Tasking comes to IPAD with iOS 4.2

Register reported that Apple will be bringing Apple’s idea of multi-tasking to the iPad and a load of other good stuff to iOS devices.

Register said about the event:

The update was announced at the beginning of September, and beta releases have been knocking around for the more adventuresome Apple fan, but later today will see a general release of the update for which the iPad has been waiting, and which everyone else will appreciate too.

Version 4.2 comes with a load of tweaks, but notable is the universal inbox to bring differing email accounts together, the addition of streaming to a an Apple TV box over Apple’s AirPlay – and, if you’re lucky enough to own one of the handful of supported printers, then AirPrint will give your mobile applications a route to physicality.

At last Apple iPad – Laptop and iPhone Hybrid

Apple has just officially announced the Apple iPad, their tablet device that aims to bring the best of the iPhone and laptops to a slim, attractive device.

The result is a very thin, roughly 10-inch (diagonal) device. The hardware is about what you’d expect, considering that we already know how the iPhone works. It supports touch input, multi-touch, swiping gestures, orientation detection, and all the rest of the features that the iPhone made popular with users.

The tablet’s multitouch screen measures in at 9.7 inches, as per the rumors, meaning that it’s got a significantly smaller footprint than the smallest MacBook, but a much larger screen than the iPhone. That’s 9.7 inches diagonal, from screen corner to screen corner. The bezel is a little fat, but this thing is basically a clean slab of display. The screen’s aspect ratio is closer to 4:3 than 16:9, meaning that it’s not a widescreen like the iPhone or a MacBook, and more of a bi-directional tablet. Or, er, Pad. It’s a half-inch thick—just a hair thicker than the iPhone, for reference—and weighs 1.5 pounds. It’s powered by a 1GHz Apple A4 chip, and has 16GB to 64GB of flash storage. From the looks of it, Apple finally got some use out of that PA Semi purchase, and built their own mobile processor. It’s also loaded with 802.11 n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, a 30-pin connector, a speaker, a microphone, an accelerometer and a compass.

The operating system on the tablet is based on iPhone OS, which is in turn loosely based on OS X. In other words, it’s got the same guts as the iPhone, as well as a somewhat similar interface. The browser is essential an upscaled version of Safari Mobile, with a familiar, finger-friendly title bar and not much else. It rotates by command of the accelerometer. Mail again takes its visual cues from the iPhone, but with a lot more decoration: you can preview your mailbox from any message with a pull-down menu, and preview any message from within the mailbox, with a pop-up window.
