10 must have Free Android Applications 2011

I have been using Android Handsets for quite a while now. As you all know finding some good apps from android market is a such a tedious job. Some of my favorite applications I list here. All of these are worth a try!

1. AppBrain

This application is a redefined Android Market Viewer. This is the way android market should have been. The best thing about this is you can backup the application list from your mobile. Also this application can make the mobile install th software by itself from our computer. Its like a Remote for installing applications. So this one makes the top of the list.

2. Expense Manager

Everyone wants to keep the track of their money. If you have an android mobile “Expense manager” will do that for you. It is a great application for managing your expenses and incomes. Almost all needed options are there with this small software. Scheduling recurring payments, Taking backups, importing and exporting are very few among them!

3. FTP Server

Now this the application you will need if you want to transfer files between your computer and mobile. Just open us the FTP Server software in the mobile and connect to the shown ip address and port you are ready to go! Yes its that simple. And that makes it a must have!

4. QR Droid

This is lot more better than the default barcode scanner. Thsi small app does much better than that. It can scan any QR code from your camera, read from QRs shown in Android browser, saved in your SD card or any QR image given its Internet URL. Now this makes it to the list!

5. Titanium Backup

Now considering it as the ONLY tool which can do almost every options we need in a backup tool, it is a must have app. It can backup, restore, freeze (with Pro) your apps + data + Market links! It fully supports protected and system apps! 0-click Batch/scheduled backups! It can also move apps (or app data) to/from SD card! And if you need something more, of if you think there is something, buy the pro version. Most likely it will have those options.

6. ZDbox (All-In-One toolbox)

ZDbox is an amazing all-in-one toolbox. A collection of many useful tools with simple interface. It has a widget option. A widget which controls almost everything. Like Wifi, airplane mode, sound, vibrate, gps, network, 2g/3g, killall, brightness and many more.

One of the most entertaining game ever. From 10 or 20 years from now, I think people will consider this as a classic game! If you haven’t tried it yet, you gotta believe me and give it a try. You will like it for sure. And Its free! :)

How to: Integrate Google Buzz to your Blog

Now that google’s Buzz is really making a Buzz in the internet world, everyone with a blog or website might be trying to figure out how to integrate it with their website. Now here I am going to explain how to integrate it to your wordpress blog.

The easiest way for doing it is Use Plugins. I will list a few plugin which will do the integration for you.

Google Buzz Button

This Google Buzz Button plugin that allows you to add a “Buzz This” button to each of your WordPress posts. this may also look familiar because lots of famous techie websites use this.

How to:

  1. Download Google Buzz Button WordPress Plugin
  2. Upload in wp-content/plugins folder on your server
  3. Activate the plugin from Plugin Dashboard
  4. Done! A new Google Buzz Button will start appearing after the post content on each single page. You can customize the location of Buzz Button.

WP Google-buzz

Another button plugin option is WP Google-buzz. This plugin has some more options compared to the previous one.

Features:

  1. Show Google-buzz button before/after post content.

WPBuzzer

Light Social

The Light Social plugin takes a slightly different approach to the Google Buzz button. Light Social is a plugin that inserts a set of social share links at the bottom of each of your WordPress posts.

Buzz In Your Sidebar

Google Buzz ER Plugin allows you to use the google Buzz features to display your public Buzz content. Just enter in your username and define how many Buzz entries you want to display and drag the widget to your designated choice in your blog.
